Life Gets in the Way

Writing this book will prove to be one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. Correction. Completing this book.

Life gets in the way.

Sometimes, I just have to embrace the life I'm living right now. An engaging marriage; small kids- their school, their activities, their lives; the financial restraint of a one-income household; surprise medical emergencies; volunteer obligations (aka the unrealistic and exhausting love to say, "yes, sure I can do that"); women's blog; blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Only, none of it's blah. It's all really awesome and important to me. It's all really good stuff.

But I've learned that the hardest decisions in life are not choosing between right and wrong, they're choosing between good and better.

A lot of life gets in the way, but I want to make the right decisions in the moment about how to spend my time.

This is a season. This place I'm at in my life--it's a season. I won't get this time back with my kids while they're young, so I'm going to take pride in them as a priority. There will be other seasons.

But right at this moment on this evening, this is so so important. This book. It's important.

So, back to #editing.
