Waiting on my editor

It's been a long summer waiting for my editor to get to my project, then waiting for him to get through my project, then waiting to hear from him on my project, but low and behold, there is an end date in sight!

In one more week, I will get my first look at my developmental edit.

I.  CAN.  NOT.  WAIT.

I am so excited to get my book finished and edited and completed and...real!

So, how does one spend her time whilst waiting for her editor you ask?

It's a sophisticated process...

Warning: the level of genius and complication just may blow the mind.

TOP TEN THINGS TO DO WHILST AWAITING SUPER IMPORTANT EDITOR
TO RETURN SUPER UNIMPORTANT DEBUT-AUTHOR MANUSCRIPT

10.   Feed the offspring well balanced meals.

9.  Begin totally new, revolutionary story idea.

8.  Spend time networking with friends you've yet to tell you wrote a book because you are scared of putting yourself "out there."

7.  Employ not-particularly-hardworking house cleaning force with state-of-the-art house cleaning machinery.

6.  Daydream about future success and being a guest on "ellen."

5.  Practice penning autograph for future fans.

4.  Re-engage in regular hygiene now that you've emerged from the writing "cave."

3.  Take online marketing class through Romance Academy by the incredible publicist, KP Simmon, at Inkslinger PR.
Sidenote: Seriously. Most. Helpful. Thing. I've. Done. To. Date.

2.  Stalk editor on social media to be sure he's still breathing which might mean he's getting closer to your project which might mean he's started reading...breath into bag as you imagine what part he might be on and whether he thinks it's worth its salt.

1.  read, Read, READ.
Read until Kindle battery dies.
Read until offspring beg for food.
Read until husband threatens Kindle.
